After getting so many emails and comments regarding my blog post-Healthy Diet Plan for PCOS & Thyroid, most of you want me to keep sharing the healthy recipes that I have been personally trying and seeing improvements in my own health. I hereby come up with this awesome Detoxifying Carrot Beet Juice Recipe.
Carrot and Beet are very much underestimated vegetables In spite of their incredible immunity-boosting properties. Carrot and Beetroot are perfect for juice as the taste is deliciously sweet in nature. Secondly, they are easily available in markets and grocery stores all year round.

Ingredients for Detoxifying Carrot Beet Juice Recipe
The Main Ingredients -Carrot and Beet in this homemade Detoxifying Carrot Beet Juice Recipe are powerhouses of antioxidants that support the body to detoxify. All you need is a Blender or a Juicer, a Strainer or a Nutmilk Bag.
Carrots are rich in Beta Carotene, potassium, and fiber. Beta Carotene is an antioxidant that is orange-red pigment in vegetables. Beta Carotene gets converted into Vitamin A inside the body. Vitamin A is much needed for good eye vision, eye health, a strong immune system, and healthy skin.
Beets/Beetroots are rich in Vitamin B9(Folate) and Vitamin C. Folate plays a key role in controlling damage to blood vessels, which can reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. Vitamin C is important for clearing skin tone and reducing uneven skin tones, clearing up dark blemishes.
Carrot and Beet blend well with some of the mentioned vegetables and fruits that I have tried. Tomatoes, Parsley, Cilantro, Apple, Cucumber, Ginger, Lemon are all great vegetables and full of important vitamins with detoxification properties. In case if you don’t like the taste of Beet juice you can add any of these vegetables/fruits to even out the beet flavor. But believe me Carrot and Beet juice tastes great. I love the plain one. For me, Carrot, Beet, and Parsley are the winner.
How to Make Carrot Beet Juice
It is a bit time-consuming to make the Detoxifying Carrot Beet Juice at home. Wash and Clean the vegetables to remove dirt or sand particles on the skin. You can use the green leaves and pink stems of the beets in the juice. It will add a little sour taste to the juice. It is totally optional to use Beet stems or leaves.
After giving a wash and scrapping the outer layer, remove the ends of the Beets, Carrots, and then chop them into pieces that will easily grind into the Blender. You can also use the Juicer that separates out the juice and the fiber. Chop the optional vegetables, fruits and add them to your juicer or blender.
Add all the chopped vegetables/fruit to the blender and grind blend them. Add water as per the consistency you want. I added two small glasses of water so that it gets easy for vegetables to grind and blend in the Blender. If you are using a Juicer, you don’t need to add water.
Remember this is our Detox juice, so no sugar or salt. Believe me, it will taste sweet without any additional sugar. The Carrot and Beet have unique sweetness.
Blender Recipe – Once the blended and grinded juice pulp is ready, we need to Strain the pulp using a strainer or nut milk bag. I have used nut milk bag for straining the pulp. It’s little messy and hands get little red during the straining time, but I find it easy compare to cleaning the Juicer. On washing the hands under water, redness goes right away
Juicer Recipe – Adding chopped vegetables to feeder in the Juicer, the veggies juice is ready.
Fresh Carrot Beetroot Juice is ready to serve. It looks red, dark maroon in color, and is yummy. Carrot Beet juice should be consumed right away. It is not recommended to store the juice for the next day as it will lose its nutrient value.
You can try making the different variants of Carrot Beet Juice by adding the vegetables of your choice. Depending on my mood and taste buds, I make the below combinations and they tasted very well.

- Carrot Beet Apple Parsley

What is good time to take it?
The best time to consume the Detoxifying Carrot Beet Juice is in the morning an hour after thyroid or other morning prescribed medication. The second best time to have it is after gym exercise or regular workout sessions. Detoxifying Juice is refreshing and energizing, So the nutrients will be best absorbed either on empty stomach or after any physical activities.
Should I take it Daily?
It is good if you can make it daily and consume fresh. I try to make it every 4-5 days in a week or every alternate day depending on the daily schedule. Having a few days’ break is good.
Do I take it after my morning pills(thyroid medication)?
Detoxifying Carrot Beet Juice is great to drink after an hour of taking Levothyroxine/synthyroid etc.
